Climb Slieve Donard for Charity

Want to climb Northern Irelands highest Mountain? By taking on Slieve Donard’s rugged peak, you could help local charities help local families.

If you take on the climb of 2,796 feet [852 metres] to the top, you’ll navigate up a winding route to the summit. Be prepared for a steady climb on a mixture of rough and smooth pathways.

At the summit, you’ll be able to admire the breath-taking views of the Mountains of Mourne at night and the twinkling lights in the bay below.

Many people find that climbing with a purpose – raising money for charity – not only makes the experience even more rewarding, but gives them the strength to push on when things get tough.

Is this trek for me?

This Climb is for anyone. Young or old – as long as you are in reasonable shape, climbing the mountain is within your grasp.

You’ll need an average to good level of fitness to take part in this challenge to successfully and safely reach the summit and get the most from your mountain experience. You should be able to walk over varied terrain for between two and four hours, including steep inclining and declining pathways.

Let’s Do This Together

You’ll be provided with direction on where to walk by a mountain guide at the start of your route. Our guide will show you the way and you will climb with other walkers in groups.
