DESCRIPTION:Family Meals\nThis is a moment for us to be the Church. \nAt the start of a new year\, we want to centre ourselves once again on the foundational rhythms of the Church: worship\, community and service. \nAs we live in the thick of another lockdown where we can’t gather together as we usually would\, we want to invite us all to stay connected as a family. Right from the beginning\, in our origin story in Acts\, we find the earliest disciples creating strong bonds by both the giving and the receiving of love and practical help. This collective practice of sharing and seeing one another is what has always defined the community life of Jesus’ Church. \nSo\, over the next few weeks we want to invite you and your family to join in and strengthen the bonds of our community as we give and receive in the most simple of ways – family meals. \nGIVE\nThe idea is simple. \nOver the next few weeks\, we want to offer a weekly meal to every family in our Church community with young children (under the age of 6)\, as well as everyone who is currently living on their own. \nThis is something that we all can get involved with as we make time each week to cook or buy meals\, dropping them off with a family or person that lives close by and taking time to pray a blessing over them (from a safe distance\, of course). \nTo get involved\, all you need to do is sign up here \nWhen you sign up\, our team will be in touch to connect you with a family or a person to make meals for. We’ll also give you all you need around safely dropping food off\, timings\, a blessing you can use and other helpful information. \nRECEIVE\nWhether we would like to admit it or not\, we could all do with some help right now.  \nOur team is working hard behind the scenes to connect every family with young children and everyone living by themselves who are signed up to our Church database with a weekly meal. \nIf you are in either of these categories and want to opt out from receiving a weekly meal\, please email office@laganvalleyvineyard with the subject line ‘Family Meals | Opt Out’. Don’t worry\, you won’t need to say much more than that. \nWe know that some of you have connected with LVV over the past year and may not have signed a connection card – therefore you won’t be on our Church database. If that is the case\, particularly if you would like to receive a weekly meal\, please do get in touch with us. DESCRIPTION:|| IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM ANDY || \nDear LVV family\, \nThis has not been an easy week. \nWith fresh lockdown restrictions disrupting our way of life once again and affecting us all\, I want to remind you that the LVV team and I are here for you. We are praying for you and are available for you and your family. As you face challenges with your own health\, your businesses\, your children’s education\, your working patterns\, and the weariness that these days bring\, remember that Jesus is with you. He is for you. He loves you. \nI wanted to get in touch with an important update for the LVV family. \nIn light of the surging cases of Covid-19 and following the recommendation of the NI Executive; the LVV Board of Trustees and Senior Leadership team have decided to postpone in-person Sunday services until at least the 6th of February. We will continue to monitor the health crisis over the next few weeks. \nWhile we will not be opening up our venue for the next few weeks\, we will continue to livestream our Sunday morning services\, as we gather together in our homes across the Lagan Valley to worship Jesus and learn from Him. \nWe believe this is the wise\, loving\, and neighbourly thing to do. We are a Church that does not exist for the sake of ourselves. We exist for Jesus and for the world. \nAs we face this health crisis\, we want to love our neighbours well\, choosing to live sacrificially and selflessly for the good of the community surrounding us. With closed schools\, businesses shut\, and the call to stay at home\, we want to stand in love and solidarity with our community by doing the right thing and playing our part in seeing the downward turn of Covid-19. \nI’m aware this is disappointing news. I love gathering with you for Sunday services. I miss that greatly and am looking forward to in-person services as soon as the public health picture permits. However\, in recent weeks I have been reminded again that ‘being the Church’ is much more important than ‘going to Church’. \nThis is a moment for us to be the Church. \nOn Sunday morning\, as we return to our series in Matthew\, I will be sharing our theme for the year as we collectively centre ourselves once again on the foundational rhythms of the Church: worship\, community\, and service. I’m also excited to share with you some important ways that you can connect with the life of Jesus and the lives of each other. Even in lockdown\, our Church has never been more active and we would love for you to join in. \nAs I have said every step of the way since March\, we are here for you. DESCRIPTION:We will be gathering in person and online for our Sunday Services. For the month of December and January our children’s Sunday environments will continue to be only online at 10am – 10.20am. \nOur desire is to love one another well as we move in-person and continue online services. While the Church was never closed\, our onsite services were\, we look forward to sharing the space again with family and friends. This will look different than before and we want to share some of our safety measures; \nMasks – In order for us to increase the capacity in the auditorium we feel this step is necessary in line with public health and local medical advice. \nHand Sanitiser – there will be hand sanitising stations on entry to and exit from the building. \nCheck-in – When you enter the building we ask that you allow our trained team to check you in\, guide you through the building to your seat. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes before to allow us to guide each family and individual safely through the building.  \nOne-way system – Where possible there will be a taped out one-way system in and out of the building. \nSinging – We all love it\, however\, based on medical advice we will encourage you not to sing\, but to enjoy the live band as they lead us. Allow yourself to be creative in how you express your worship.  \nWe would ask anyone who has COVID-19 symptoms or is living in a home where someone has COVID-19 symptoms refrain from attending until their isolation period is over.
