The aim of the game is to work together in your teams to score as many points as you can in the hour. In this session\, Stu will unpack how we can learn to read the bible well so that we let it work on us\, forming our imaginations and intentions. We will be introduced to an ancient way of spiritual reading\, Lectio Divina\, which invites us to encounter Jesus through His Word everyday\, before taking time to consider how we deal with the tricky parts of Scripture – for it is in our wrestling that we can experience transformation. \nSign Up HERE

DESCRIPTION:‘Speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves.’\nProverbs 31:8 \nThe COP26 Day of Action in Belfast is taking place on Saturday 6 November from 11AM.  On this day\, people across the UK and the world will join marches and events to speak out against the injustice of the climate crisis. At the mid-point of the two-week UN climate talks\, COP26\, we’re calling on the Prime Minister and other world leaders to take strong and transformative actions. \nIn Northern Ireland\,  people will gather at 11am with prayer at Central Church\, May Street Presbyterian with Evangelical Alliance\, 24/7 Prayer\, and Christian Aid. After praying\, there will be the option to walk down together to Corn Market to join the Belfast march calling on world leaders at the UN Climate Talks to make bold decisions that will protect people living in poverty around the world. \nThis event is happening in partnership with Tearfund. DESCRIPTION:If you call Lagan Valley Vineyard home\, we would love to invite you along to a Family Meeting at the end of August.\nAs we emerge from the most disruptive year and half we have faced and look expectantly into the next chapter in the story of our church\, we want to gather the LVV family for an evening of worship\, prayer\, and the opportunity to hear from our leaders around the shape of things to come.  \nAs the seasons turn from summer to autumn and as we look ahead to the next term of church life\, we want to share with you our plans and dreams as we seek to follow Jesus\, together.  \nAndy and our senior leadership team recognise this past year has not been an easy time to navigate. They would like to set some time aside to address some of the things that our church family feel are important to talk about. We would therefore love for you to use this form to submit any questions or topics you would like us to address in our family meeting. We cannot promise we will be able to cover everything\, but we will do our best! \nWe are hosting Family Meetings on the evenings of Sunday 22nd and Monday 23rd August in the church venue.  If you cannot attend our meetings\, you can sign up with the option to receive a recording. DESCRIPTION:Do you know someone who our church can give a gift of HOPE to?\nWe are giving Gifts of HOPE to doors. \nWe are helping tidy gardens. \nOur church wants to bring HOPE and help in local community and you may know someone who could benefit from a HOPE gift pack to their door.  \nYou can nominate someone HERE for a gift of HOPE or for garden help. \n  \nWhat is a Gift of HOPE?\nLVV give a quality pack containing items of HOPE including gifts\, sweet treats\, a hand written card of encouragement and a pocket book of HOPE or prayer. We include contact details for LVV Church and community. This gift pack is carefully dropped to each door by hand with a smile and a few gentle words of connection and encouragement.  \nWhat is garden help?\nChurch volunteers help in gardens in our community. We simply help cut grass\, plant and chat. We carry hope in community and we are a generous church. \n\nOur church wants to bring HOPE and help in local community.  Do you know someone who could benefit? Simply fill in this short application to nominate someone you know. (please ask their permission) Initially we will contact you and you will link us at LVV to the householder. We make that easy for you. \n \n  \nHOPE stories\n“Thank you for my gift bag of HOPE you brought to my door. It lifted my mood and the person was so kind. It’s nice to know people care. Thank you” \n“The Hope bag had a water bottle and sweets and lots of things for me to enjoy and your card was so nice to receive” \n“I had experienced abuse in my home and moved to a new street. My neighbours said the garden was an embarrassment to the street. It really got me down. I cannot thank you enough for my tidy garden and the bulbs coming up by my path. I love it.” \n“As a wheelchair user I could not weed the paved garden myself\, the area was too big and overgrown. You took away all the weeds and washed the paving and now I have a place outside to enjoy. Thank you” \n  \nWould you like to help?  \nYou can help us serve the person you nominate or you can volunteer at any LVV compassion opportunity.
